Join the Colossal-AI Team at its Tutorials and Booth at the AAAI Conference
We are excited to announce our attendance at the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, which will be held in Washington, D.C. from February 7-14, 2023. Our senior leaders will present two tutorials, one on Colossal-AI, and as a gold sponsor of the event, we will be exhibiting throughout the conference.
Innovating in the Field of AAAI Together
As a leader in the field of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence, we are always looking for opportunities to learn and connect with other professionals in the industry. The AAAI Conference is a premier event for researchers and practitioners in the field, and we are thrilled to be a part of it.
The purpose of the AAAI conference series is to promote research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and foster scientific exchange between researchers, practitioners, scientists, students, and engineers across the entirety of AI and its affiliated disciplines. AAAI-23 is the Thirty-Seventh AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence. The theme of this conference is to create collaborative bridges within and beyond AI.
We are thrilled to be able to contribute to the advancement of research and technology in the field of AAAI by speeding up and scaling deep learning with Colossal-AI, and we are committed to continue sharing our work as open source code for the benefit of the community.
Participate in the Tutorials Led by Our Senior Leaders
We are also excited to announce that our Founder, Chairman and President Yang You and our Chief Strategy Officer James Demmel will be presenting two tutorials at the conference.
- The topic of one tutorial will be “Colossal-AI: Scaling AI Models in Big Model Era” and it will take place from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
- Another one entitled “Large-Scale Deep Learning Optimization Techniques” will be held from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
Prof. James Demmel (UC Berkeley) | Prof. Yang You (NUS) |
James is a renowned computer scientist and professor, with a background in numerical linear algebra and HPC. Yang is a leading expert in machine learning and AI, with a focus on developing algorithms for large-scale deep neural networks. Together, they have extensive experience in the field of HPC as well as AI and will be sharing their insights and knowledge with attendees through the tutorials.
Our top executives from our company will demonstrate how the open-source Colossal-AI system scales giant models via optimization methods such as data, pipeline, tensor, sequence and auto parallelism, as well as heterogeneous system methods such as a zero-redundancy optimizer and offloading.
In the Colossal-AI tutorial February 8th, we will provide example code to help the participants get familiar with the system and apply it to scale their large AI models with minimal effort. Those interested in trying out our system prior to the tutorial can visit our Colossal-AI GitHub repository to access the latest version. Feel free to reach out on our Colossal-AI developers Slack channel if you have any technical questions or cooperation intentions.
After the tutorial presentations, the slides will be made available for download on our website. The link to the download page will be provided during the tutorials and shared on our social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook) for those who were unable to attend or would like to review the material again.
